Hey, y’all!

We’re so excited to share our adventures with all of you. We’ve been extremely blessed over the years to be able to explore various places all over the world, making memories that will last a lifetime. We hope that by starting this page, we can impart some of the things we’ve learned along the way and share some of our favorite travel takeaways.

Before all that though, it’s only fair that we introduce ourselves!

My husband Roelf is from South Africa. He came to America in 2013 on a Track & Field scholarship at Arkansas State University. He walked away with various honors including becoming a 6x All-American long jumper and taking home third at the Junior Olympic Games. He now works as a Project Management Analyst at FedEx.

My name is Destiny. I’m from Jonesboro, Arkansas! The home of the Red Wolves and some of the sweetest people in the whole wide world…trust me! I’m a second-generation news anchor, working the crazy hours! My days typically start at around 2 a.m.

I met my soulmate from the other side of the world during college. We got married during the pandemic and moved to Tucson in 2021! We are obsessed with our new home and everything around us. The views are unparalleled. Our fur babies, Charlie and Hazel, have also adapted quite nicely.
